Maxine, you saved my life by adopting me. I would never have been at one of the top universities in the nation without you. You're kindness, patience, and love of helping others has inspired me to be a better person. You're passion for others welfare has inspired me to push the boundaries of the possible and land in the impossible. You are the reason for the woman I am. I love you.

You have iinspired me to be a great mom, as I look at the person that I have become. Always hoping that I do as good a job as you did. You are always pushing yourself, despite physical barriers and limitations. And that inspires tme to PUSH myself ias well. If your life was a mountain you would be on top of it!!! You have and will always be an inspiration to me in more ways than one.

I don't think that I tell you how much I love you nearly enough. You are patient and kind and entertaining and loving beyond words. I will miss you when I leave, and I hope that you can forgive me for time that I've wasted. Believe it or not, I cherish all the time we have together, even when it doesn't seem like I am enjoying myself. I am unbelievably lucky to have you as my mom.

To Lori Barrett Also known as my new mom,
Lori is my beautiful mother n law!
She is 72 turning 73 this month February 2010!!!!!!! This woman is gorgeous in every single way possible. She glows, she loves, she gives, she listens, she is patient, she is my friend (like one of my girlfriends), she is one amazing "Italian" cook, she spoils everyone of her kids with unconditional love and encouragement and praise, and she treats me no different.......... She puts any woman or man to shame in the workout department!!! This woman is truly my world! (Okay so is my husband)!
They do not come any sweeter than this one! I am a better human being because of my mother-n-law!!! She does not ask for anything in return but the company of her kids, grand kids, and me!!!!!!!!!!!!

Three years ago we took a chance, just trying to survive a summer, which turned in to one of the best experiences of our lives.
